I'm trying to install Skype for Desktop on Windows 10, but it keeps telling me to use Store version instead. Windows Store version of Skype is absolute rubbish and my family members have asked me separately! That's exactly what I was trying to avoid.
But I figured it out! For the people wondering, you just have to run installer in compatibility mode with Windows 8 and it installs and works flawlessly. To run the installer in compatibility mode you have to right click on it, select Properties, Compatibility and select Windows 8 from the drop-down. Was this reply helpful?
